U-Tong Thai Vegan Restaurant is a cosy little vegan eatery that brings the authentic flavours of Thailand to Clayfield.

Specialising in freshly prepared vegetable dishes as well as plant-based meat substitute stir fries and curries (including 'chicken' and 'duck'), U-Tong Thai is a welcome addition to this northside suburb.

Entrees at U-Tong Thai Vegan Restaurant include veggie spring rolls, crispy konnyaku balls, tofu skewers with peanut sauce and pumpkin chips.

100% vegan mains range from home made massaman curries to popular pad thai, som tum (green papaya salad), laksa noodle soup and salt & pepper konnyaku squid. There are also plenty of gluten free, msg free, garlic free and onion free options on the menu.

Look out for the daily lunch specials ($10 dine in and take away) as well as sweets such as mango sticky rice, lychee juice, Thai iced tea (served with soy mik) and the 'magical' drink which turns from blue to purple.
