Authentic Char Grill & Kebab is serving up the best Turkish street food to be found in Brisbane from its Bardon hilltop location.

Don't be fooled by the no-frills ambience of the little eatery with its casual alfresco seating, for the food here is authentic, fresh and restaurant-quality.

On the comprehensive menu, which is available for both takeaway and dine-in, there are traditional dips (cacik - strained yoghurt & cucumber, hummus, and baba ghanoush), small plates like falafel, Turkish pilaf rice and halloumi and a healthy bowl (Turkish Slaw Salad with chicken or lamb skewers, haloumi or falafel).

The main menu consists of classic kebabs (fresh salad, falafel, doner, chicken or mixed); chargrilled wraps (chicken, adana, halloumi or lamb) Chargrill plates (lamb or chicken skewers, adana, chicken wings or mixed grill) served with salad, dip, pilaf rice and Turkish bread; or Ali Nazak - chicken, adana or lamb served on a bed of smoky eggplant Baba Ganoush, grilled tomato & Turkish bread.

The other house specialty is the highly recommended pide (traditional Turkish pizza) which is freshly baked onsite, with toppings of cheese, mince, spinach, vegetarian or chicken and mushroom. There's also a small selection of sweets, including homemade baklava, rice pudding with cherry topping or Turkish style chocolate magnolia pudding.
