Happitat Adventure Park

Binna Burra

Updated: Jan 07, 2026

Happitat, the world’s first cliff park, a unique adventure-based experience designed to help visitors connect with nature, push through fear and find happiness, opens at Binna Burra on January 10, 2026 and tickets are now on sale!.

Surrounded by Lamington National Park and just 1.5 hours from Brisbane and 1 hour from Surfers Paradise, Happitat blends zip lines, suspension bridges, via ferrata climbs, rainforest walks and swimming holes.

Founded by conservationist, alpine adventurer and ex-professional snowboarder Michael Neururer, Happitat represents an entirely new way to experience and connect with nature. The park provides an all-encompassing sensory encounter with the natural environment; one that invites focus, presence and respect for place.

The experience begins with The Arete Via Ferrata Climb where guests step over the edge for a breathtaking ascent across an 80-metre bridge, moving through tightropes and timber crossings suspended high above the valley.

From there, they launch into Total Exposure, the park’s longest and highest zipline, gliding 200 metres above Lamington National Park.

Next, thrill-seekers take on The Overhang Zipline Course, soaring past waterfalls and rugged cliff faces, before concluding with The Edge Park Explorer, a chance to slow down, wander shaded bush trails, dip into crystal-clear natural pools and take in sweeping views from a 12-metre cantilevered platform suspended 400 metres above the valley floor.

By summoning the courage to take on real adventure and risk in the curated experiences, visitors are promised to leave with a perspective shift, discovering both their own resilience and their role within the landscape.

Nice to know – A second stage of the project will see the opening of Walden, a café celebrating local produce, connection to place and panoramic views of the hinterland, slated for mid-to-late 2026.

Need to know – Safety remains paramount across every aspect of the experience, with engineered systems, capped visitor numbers and highly trained guides ensuring every experience meets rigorous Australian safety standards.
