South City Wine Bar

South City Wine Bar is an elegant European style wine bar that looks as if it has been transported from the streets of Paris or Rome to Woolloongabba.

Inspired by classic European neighbourhood bars, South City Wine Bar brings a gorgeous slice of old world charm to South City Square, Woolloongabba's dining precinct.

Patrons can take a seat on the terrace outside or in the splendid interior, which features intimate booths, a long communal table by the bar, dark wood panelling, oil paintings and brass trimmings.

The bar offers an impressive artisanal selection of carefully considered organic and natural wine from renowned International and local vineyards alongside an extensive list of fine champagne and classic French cocktails.

On the food menu are a tapas-style selection of artisan cheese and charcuterie, pancetta, and Spanish and Italian sardines or tuna to perfectly complement the wines.

There's also a bistro-style tasting menu with small plates like pork croquette with smoked tomato relish; scallops crudo, pickled chilli & lime; Escargots a la Bourguignonne, garlic butter & nasturtium or oyster with lemon lime butter.

Large plates include 300g sirloin on the bone, frites & estragon butter; gnocchi burro e alici, succulent, wakame; fish du jour a la meunier, Aleppo pepper, sultana, pine nuts & herbs.

A small selection of sweets includes luxardo maraschino cherry crème brûlée, custard mini tart, berries & lemon balm; or ice cream and sorbet selection.
