UPDATE: ANGIE'S COUNTRY CAFE CLOSED IN LATE 2023

Angie’s Country Cafe has been a popular part of the Esk foodie scene since opening in July 2020.

A family business, owned and run by Angie and her son, the cafe is known for its hearty country fare and great hospitality.

Originally a spacious, old home, the cafe can seat up to 160 guests, across two inside, dual air-conditioned dining rooms, the covered verandah, as well as the picnic tables out in the garden under umbrellas, when weather allows.

Open for breakfast and lunch through until mid-afternoon, the menus offer a huge range of options, including a substantial and dedicated, gluten-free breakfast menu and a dedicated, gluten-free lunch menu, meaning all tastes and faves are pretty much catered for.

Whether a light breakfast option, like house-made muesli (served with yoghurt, berries and local honey) or avocado on toast, is what takes your fancy, or the generous Angie’s Big Brekky (bacon, eggs, pork chipolatas, hash brown, grilled tomato and house-made beans and toast), or maybe even something decadent from the Daily Specials Board, such as Smoked Salmon and Potato Rosti Stack, you will not walk away hungry.

The lunch menu includes hearty offerings such as burgers, BLT on Turkish, panko-crumbed seafood and mouthwatering rib fillet served with choice of salad, fries, with dishes able to be spiced up with add-ons such as grilled prawns, grilled halloumi and chicken schnitzel strips, just to whet your appetite.

Coffee on pour is Amanti and the usual choice of teas are on offer, along with a selection of bottled juices, cafe-made, old-fashioned milkshakes, fresh fruit smoothies, frappes and house-made soda pops to quench your thirst.

The dessert fridge offers a range of daily-prepared sweet treats that can be savoured at any time of the day.

Nice to know – Angie’s Country Cafe is pet-friendly in the garden areas, so if you’re enjoying a day trip to Esk, you don’t need to leave your four-legged bestie at home.

Need to know – Take-away is available for a number of the menu options, perfect for enjoying as you explore the region further.
