Hello Please

South Brisbane

Updated: Jun 07, 2026

Hello Please is a Vietnamese-inspired street food restaurant that has its home in Fish Lane, South Brisbane’s coolest eating and dining precinct.

At lunch-time (12-3), the kitchen serves food that is made from scratch in-house but quick to go – think banh mi, chicken pho, vermicelli salads and rice paper rolls (with fillings such as beef with wasabi mayo, lettuce and herbs; tofu or Peking Duck).

From 5pm daily, the menu also encompasses fresh, handmade Dumplings with fillings that change regularly but might include beef shallot and ginger with black vinegar dipping sauce and delicious Bao (try the Pork Belly with hoisin sauce and pickled cucumber).

There’s also a dessert on offer for the sweet tooths – sweet condensed milk ice-cream with cold drip affogato style and ginger crumb.

Drinks-wise, Hello Please keeps it short and punchy, with a choice of three reds, whites, rose and sparkling by the glass or bottle, Vietnamese and local boutique beer and cider and house soda.

Cocktail drinkers have a choice of three fresh house cocktails, with the signature young coconut-based with spiced rum and spirit drinkers can enjoy the likes of gin and tonic with green mango. Hello Please also serve their own house-made soda – a refreshing mix of lychee, lemongrass, lime and mint.

Good  to know – Everything here is made fresh in-house except for the spring roll and rice paper wrapping.

Need to know – Hello Please makes a great pre or post theatre stop, being just a stone’s throw from QPAC.

The menu may have changed since our visit.
