Sea Fuel Fish & Chips

West End

Sea Fuel is a sleek contemporary fish and chip restaurant and takeaway nestled in the base of West End’s boutique apartment block The Glass Factory.

Décor at Sea Fuel is far removed from the traditional greasy fish’n’chip shop – think mood lighting, a retro black and white photo mural on the back wall and bistro style tables and chairs – and an in-house bar with beers on tap, wines and spirits makes it a cut above the usual casual eatery.

The extensive menu has something for everyone, starting from Fish Fillets (including Beer Battered Flathead, Crumbed Whiting, Sea Perch, Atlantic salmon, Ocean Trout, Cone Bay Wild Barramundi and Patagonian Toothfish) grilled, beer battered or panko crumbed; with sides of crumbed calamari, King prawns cutlets, homemade potato scallops and beer battered chips. Four types of Salads are also on offer – Traditional Greek, Baby Cos, Asian Slaw or Rocket.

Seafood Meals comprise any of the Fish Fillets or BBQ King Prawn Skewers, Crumbed Calamari or Kind Prawn Cutlets served with chips, lemon, choice of salad and homemade tartare sauce.

Family Dinners are also available with a choice of 6 or 9 pieces of Cod or Gold band Snapper with the same accompaniments as the Seafood Meals.

Can’t decide? Then order a Seafood Platter (calamari, prawn cutlets, sea scallops, fish pieces, chips and choice of salad) for One, Two or Three. Also on offer for in-house diners only are Share Plates including Homemade Thai Fish Cakes, Fresh Qld King Prawns and Natural Oysters and BBQ Octopus.

Sea Fuel West End

No need to BYO wine to Sea Fuel, with an impressive range of Oz, French and Italian wines and champagne available (about half by the glass). And beer drinkers will find a list of craft, imported and standard beers and ciders as well as Asahi Super Dry, James Squire Fifty Lashes and Stone & Wood Pacific Ale on tap.

Boutique spirits are also on offer to combine with Fever Tree mixers. And coffee and tea drinkers will find a choice of proper brewed Aromas coffee and loose leaf teas.

Nice to know - Sea Fuel also has an outlet in the Park Road precinct of Milton.

Need to know – Orders are placed at the counter and delivered to the table. A small range of Kids Meals are available including Grilled Snapper and Chips.

The menu may have changed since our visit.
