Pelican Café

Redland Bay

Updated: Mar 26, 2026

Pelican Cafe is the bayside's best-kept secret, with an all-day breakfast/lunch menu and lovely views of Redland Bay and the Southern Moreton Bay islands of Macleay, Russell, Lamb and Karragarra.

Housed on the second story of the big, green shed at the end of the Esplanade, overlooking Weinam Creek, diners can sit inside the nautically inspired space with plenty of timber or outside on the breezy deck.

Pop in for breakfast, with choices like buckwheat pancakes, salmon omelette, avocado & feta on sourdough, shakshuka and the Pelican Big Breakfast (also a vegetarian version).

Some of the breakfast dishes are also available for lunch, along with fish and chips, steak sandwich, pasta of the day and roasted beetroot and pumpkin salad. There's also a kids menu.

All food is made fresh onsite with locally sourced produce where possible, including the delicious salads. Besides Genovese coffee, there's a small selection of tea, milkshakes, juice and soft drinks.
