School Holidays at Queensland Museum Kurilpa
Updated: Sep 14, 2026
Looking for a school holiday outing that’s fun and educational? Make a beeline for Queensland Museum Kurilpa, where little explorers can come face-to-face with prehistoric giants and get hands-on with science!
There’s only a few weeks left to experience Croc! Lost Giants to Living Legends, the family-friendly exhibition taking visitors on a journey through the fascinating world of crocodiles.
Discover how these incredible creatures survived alongside the dinosaurs, with plenty for kids to touch, play with and learn from. Pick up a children’s map at the entrance and let little explorers lead the way.
To celebrate the final days of the exhibition, Vincent Babia and his Dance Team will perform live traditional Saibai Island song, dance and storytelling in the museum forecourt across three sessions at 10am, 12pm and 2pm.
The exhibition closes Monday, 5 October, making the September school holidays the perfect time for a visit. Plus, you can enjoy half-price entry every Tuesday. Croc! is open daily from 9:30am to 5pm.
Pair your Croc! adventure with a session at SparkLab, Queensland Museum’s hands-on science and innovation centre.
From Saturday, 19 September to Monday, 5 October 2026, book any SparkLab session and score 20% off Croc! entry - the perfect excuse to turn your school holiday visit into a full day of exploring, experimenting and learning.
