Billycart Markets

Sandgate

TO OUR KNOWLEDGE THESE MARKETS ARE NO LONGER OPERATIONAL.

This charming church yard market down by the bay is a mecca for great quality children's clothes, toys and wares with an emphasis on the handmade, home made and home grown.

Expect to find Hasa Knapp children's sleepwear, take-me-home Bears by Charlie, trilby hats for little heads, Lego greeting cards and jewellery, woollen sleeping bags, wooden toys and puzzles, Little wonderland reversible jackets and lunch sacks and gorgeous pinafores, swimwear and capes from Lacey Lane.

Others to look out for are Scandinavian designed clothes from Baby Goes Retro, hand made darby shorts, ruffled nappy covers and playsuits from Lil Miss Rosie and natural and organic baby products.

And there'll be no complaints from the children at this market, as it's well catered for with a Boppin' Babies corner with live music, an activity table with plaster moulds to make and paint and, in the adjacent school ground, plenty of run around space and play equipment.

Food wise, tuck into delicious offerings from market veterans Happy Little Dumplings, New York Dogs and sweet treats such as sugar plum cakes with tea and coffee from the charming retro Dolly Varden's Van.
