Tattersall's Club Landscape Art Prize

Riverside Centre

The prestigious Tattersall’s Club Landscape Art Prize, which attracts accomplished artists from all over the country, is having its public exhibition at the Riverside Centre in Eagle Street from Monday 12 – Friday 23 September (and at Tattersall's Club - 206 Edward St - itself for a sneak preview until Fri Sep 9)

Harking back to 1990, the Art Prize originally had an open theme, with the switch to a landscape theme coming the following year. The prize money has steadily grown since the inaugural year, going from $10,000 to $30,000 in 2014.

Anyone who appreciates landscape painting should make sure they get along to the public exhibition as you’re sure to be impressed with the quality of entries.

This year the art prize has attracted a wealth of 86 high calibre entrants including three Archibald Portrait Prize winners and five Wynne Landscape Prize winners, as well as previous Fleurieu Landscape Prize, Blake Prize for religious art and Glover Landscape Art Prize winners. The 2016 competition has also attracted 13 former Tattersall’s Club Landscape Art Prize winners.
