Front Yard Bar

Auchenflower

Updated: Sep 24, 2025

Front Yard Bar is Brisbane's best kept secret - a charming rustic treehouse-style bar annexed to a residential house and tucked away in a commercial area of Auchenflower.

After closing for the winter, Front Yard Bar will reopen on Friday September 26 and patrons can now BYO snacks.

Hidden behind a wall of greenery, the split level tiki-themed timber bar is entered via a staircase off the street and is literally like finding yourself at someone's house party.

All patrons (including 4-legged) are greeted warmly by the hosts and owners, who treat you like a guest at their house and invited to take a seat on the lower deck or mezzanine level where there are larger tables for groups.

On site is a 'tiki bar' (a drinks and food cabin  where all orders are placed), a collection of table games, water bowl for pooches and a row of bar stools overlooking the street.

Cocktails include the house Mimosa, as well as Aperol Spritz, Margarita and Strawberry Daiquiri; and there's also a couple of mocktails. Patrons who order drinks can enjoy a side of free popcorn on the house.
