Lumen Cafe'Lounge

Lumen Cafe'Lounge is a stunning cafe-by-day and lounge-bar-by-night that brings a unique touch of pizzazz and sophistication to the leafy inner-western suburb of Toowong.

The cafe lounge is something that wouldn't be out of place in the city, with its striking decor designed by the German architect owner, whose heritage carries over to the menu, which features German-Italian inspired dishes and German beers.

The cafe serves up premium breakfast and lunch dishes, many with a German-Italian flavour, along with freshly brewed Italian coffee and delicious pastries from Le Bon Choix bakery. 

On the breakfast menu there's a German Breakfast (pastrami, cheese, boiled egg, croissant rolls, jam & butter), German Kaiserschmarrn (scrambled pancake with raisins, apple and custard sauce), and Italian ciabatta sandwich as well as classic dishes like Eggs Benedict, avo on toast, omelette or pancakes.

Lunch is more of an Italian affair, with a range of dishes such as Italian burrata or bruschetta; pasta or tortellini pomodoro; and tortellini salad; while German dishes include German currywurst (grilled pork sausage in curry sauce); pretzel and butter; and Elsässer Flammkuchen (German pizza with bacon, sour cream and chives).

In the afternoon and evenings, there's also a bar food menu which includes Italian sandwich; pretzel; baba ghanoush, house guacamole with tortilla chips, Flammkuchen (pizza) or 'Abendbrot' (share plate of salami & pastrami slices, sausage, Swiss cheese, mini pretzels, sour cream and chives). 

By night the glamorous bar exudes a chic, relaxed atmosphere where you can unwind with friends, savor classic cocktails, European wines and German beers, and immerse yourself in music from the top clubs of Ibiza, Marbella, and Frankfurt.

The cocktail menu features classics like Pina Colada, Espresso Martini, Mojito and Margarita as well as Frankfurt Sour (Amaretto, lemon sugar, apple juice & Aquafaba); Black Martini and Gin Basil Smash. Along with German beers, there's German apple cider and German apple wine. And the wine list has German Riesling and Italian Pinot Grigio together with a smattering of Australian and NZ wines.

Lumen also transforms into the perfect setting for private events, providing a unique and stylish space tailored to corporate gatherings, celebrations, and intimate functions. The stylish, modern setting provides the perfect backdrop, and the Lumen crew go above and beyond just offering the space. They also provide bespoke catering options featuring European-inspired cuisine and refreshing drinks.
