Bavarian Sizzle

Bavarian Sizzle is a cool contemporary German cafe restaurant bringing an authentic taste of Germany to the eastern Brisbane suburb of Coorparoo.

Diners can take a seat in the bright minimalist interior or on the outdoor covered deck, where pooches are welcome to join their owners.

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Bavarian Sizzle makes for a great place to start the day with a fresh premise-made pretzel filled with ham and cheese or smoked salmon and cream cheese or the ultimate loaded pretzel; waffle topped with bacon and egg or cinnamon and apple; a traditional German breakfast platter or gourmet toastie.

For lunch and dinner, there's a choice of German chat-grilled sausages (including bratwurst and currywurst), burgers (including premium MB7 brisket), crispy bacon and avo rolls or Bavarian-style meatloaf (leberkäse), with sides like onion rings and chips (including loaded chips which are a meal unto themselves).

For mains, it's hard to go past the schnitzels, which are double crumbed and super generous in size, served with chips, sauerkraut and sauce, or try the smoky sausage with onions. 

If possible, save room for dessert with more-ish German classics like apple strudel with ice cream and Black Forest cake, along with the likes of Ferrero Rocher or walnut brownies, cookies and daily baked slices.

The curated drinks list features German beers and wines (including Affentaler Riesling and rose), and spirits such as pear and hazelnut schnapps, as well as non-alcoholic beers and soft drinks and there's also hot chocolate and well-brewed coffee.
