The Imperial Hotel

Iconic 112 year old Sunshine Coast hotel, The Imperial Hotel in Eumundi, has just unveiled the second stage of its newly renovated spaces with the opening of the beer garden, as part of a massive ongoing refurbishment. 

Having acquired the hotel in 2023, the Comiskey Group embarked on a journey to revitalise this iconic landmark. Following the success of The Doonan near Noosa, the group enlisted the expertise of KP Architects and CTRL Space to infuse fresh life into The Imperial Hotel.

Stage One, which was completed in 2024, saw an all-new strikingly elegant front bar, gaming room and TAB, wih a mega HD LED screen offering live coverage of major sporting events on Fox Sports.

Home to Eumundi Brewery, visitors can enjoy a locally made beer at the beautiful front bar, featuring pressed
metal ceilings, heritage tiles, brass details, antique mirrors and wood panelling on the walls – adding a cosy, old English
ambience to the space. With a nod to the past, the walls are decorated in historical photos of Eumundi town and the hotel.

Stage two, which ws completed in December 2025, has seen the stunning transformation of the beer garden, bar, restaurant, and band room.

And let's not forget The Imperial Hotel Boutique Accommodation, which has received a luxury upgrade, with a heated pool and magnesium spa offering a rejuvenating retreat for guests.

Stage 3, due to be completed in 2026, will feature a sprawling kids' games room, set to become one of the largest on the Sunshine Coast.

“From the very start, the brief remained the same; we wanted to celebrate the history of the pub. The Imperial Hotel is over 100 years old, and that is, and always will be, the most unique part about it! It has changed owners throughout the years and has been reimagined numerous times. But one thing has remained the same – it’s been a local favourite watering hole. As the latest custodians of this incredible property, we want to keep it that way. We have put a lot of effort into the renovation and have more to go!” says Director, Rob Comiskey.
