Sunset Heaven Ryokan & Spa

Sunset Heaven Ryokan & Spa is a unique little slice of Japan - a traditional Japanese inn and spa - perched 550m above sea level in Tamborine Mountain.

The small, family run inn, which is surrounded by Japanese rock gardens, has a lattice door antry and two Japanese-style rooms with tatami mats, ornate fans, Tokonoma (alcove), circular windows and shoji screens.

Guests can enjoy the onsite amenities, including the outdoor decks and the observation deck with its breathtaking views, and, for an extra charge, the rock pool (heated in winter), jacuzzi and infrared sauna.

Spa packages are also available, including organic facial and sound vibration therapy and a pampering spa package (including remedial massage),  or a spa facilities pacakage, which allows guests to partake in all of the amenities,

Guests of the ryokan can opt for a full traditional Japanese or English breakfast as part of their stay (served in the dining room with stunning views), as well as a Japanese BBQ dinner or traditional Hot Pot. 

Good to know - Sunset Heaven also hosts regular one-off special events such as Sunset Sound Healing and Stargazing Music & Japanese Omakase Dinner Nights.
