The Castle on Tamborine

The Castle on Tamborine is a unique and exclusive English-themed retreat where old world romance meets modern luxury and amenity atop Tamborine Mountain.

Featuring medieval turrets and towers and set amongst over two acres of beautiful English gardens (where there's also a Gamekeeper's Lodge, Abbey and English Cottage), guests enter The Castle via a drawbridge and into another world.

Taking inspiration from a Scottish castle, the splendid suites are decorated in sumptuous fashion fit for royalty, with two wings, to Ross and Carmichael to choose from.

The wings are a mirror image of each other, with both featuring a king size bed (one a four-poster), sunken lounge room with cinema and an open wood fireplace.

Each suite has its own Romanesque, indoor heated, 7ft plunge pool with backlit waterfall, love seat and beautiful vista as well an an opulent marble and gold-trimmed bathroom with antique hand carved vanities, double shower and enormous spa bath.

Both wings have a fully stocked kitchen, equipped with the finest organic teas and a mini bar offering fine champagne, local wines and beer.

Included in the stay is a decadent two course breakfast which is delivered to your room each day, and showcasing the very best in South East Queensland’s seasonal, local produce.

Good to know - Just a 15 minute drive away down the mountain is a real 18th century English pub, the Fox & Hounds Country Inn.
