From a Newcastle garage to worldwide recognition, hear the remarkable story of two teenagers who grew up in Silverchair, one of Australia’s greatest rock bands, at Brisbane Powerhouse on October 9, 2023.

So much has been written about Silverchair over the years but very little has been said by the band’s members. In Love & Pain, childhood friends Ben Gillies (drummer) and Chris Joannou (bass player) tell tales that fans have never heard, about how the band started, how they worked together, and how they ended up.

During this in-conversation with Chit Chat Von Loopin Stab, Gillies and Joannou will discuss the intense pressure put on two teenagers who had no way of preparing for it, how they navigated their friendships with each other, the mistakes they made, and the successes they cherished.

Don't miss this rare and vulnerable insight into a band adored by so many, when Ben Gillies and Chris Joannou speak at Brisbane Powerhouse.
