G-doggz

Fortitude Valley

G-DOGGZ HAS CLOSED PERMANENTLY IN 2015 TO BE REPLACED BY THE FRENCH FOOD SHOP OPENING EARLY 2016.

G-Doggz is a funky little weatherboard clad hot dog den and bar on Brunswick St that makes a great people watching snack bar by day and club-goer's refuelling stop by night.

Seekers of processed red wieners in soggy white rolls need not apply here for this is no ordinary hot dog joint, owned as it is esteemed Brisbane restaurateurs Brad and Angelica Jolly. All of the sausages are made especially for G-Doggz by an artisan butcher and pork, beef or chorizo hot dogs come in varieties such as the Chow Chow – pork sausage with wasabi mayonnaise and kimchi, the G-Dogg (beef and red wine sausage, caramelized onion and cheese) or the Frenchie (pork sausage, spring onion, truffle mayo and smoked cheese).

For those who want fries with that, hot chips with vinegar or cheese sauce are available as sides.

And whatever the time of day, patrons can enjoy a civilized drink – craft beer, boutique wine or house cocktail such as Skinny Girl Cosmo or Mojitish Lemon with their dog.

Need to know: All doggz can be done vegetarian style, or for a teenie bit extra, on a gluten free roll.
