British chef Marco Pierre White is bringing his first tour of live-on-stage theatre shows to Australia, with MARCO PIERRE WHITE – OUT OF THE KITCHEN taking place in Brisbane at the Great Hall, BCEC on 23 May, 2023.

Marco will take audiences on a journey from his humble beginnings, arriving in London from the north with “£7.36, a box of books and a bag of cloths” to begin his classical training as a commis with Albert and Michael Roux at Le Gavroche.

By the age of just 33, Marco became first British and youngest chef at the time to be awarded three Michelin Stars. A chef, restaurateur and television personality, he has been dubbed “the first celebrity chef” and the “enfant terrible” of the UK restaurant scene.

Marco was in the vanguard of a food revolution, the first of the rock ‘n roll chefs who inspired thousands of today’s chefs. Training notable chefs such as Mario Batali, Shannon Bennett, Heston Blumenthal, Gordon Ramsay and Curtis Stone, he ushered in French classism to a new era.

Marco Pierre White was the man who started it - he put the stake in the ground, gave chefs a profile”  - Gordon Ramsay

Of all the chefs I worked for, he was the greatest teacher” - Jock Zonfrillo

Everybody wanted to be MPW, to follow his path” - David Chang Momofuku

Trail blazer who led the movement against the establishment chef” - Raymond Blanc

MPW had the palate so, for me he was and still is the greatest” - Michel Roux

What we had time for was work and stress. It was carved into his face. Marco Pierre White gave us all voice, gave us hope, a new template for survive. White Heat gave us power. It all started here” - Anthony Bourdain

Don't miss your chance to meet one of the world’s iconic chefs, live on stage, and enjoy an evening about the magic of food, the allure of restaurants, of determination, grit and endless pursuit of personal fulfilment.
