Natalie's Cottage

Toowoomba

UPDATED: UNFORTUNATELY, THIS BUSINESS HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED

Natalie's Cottage is a cute little century-old cottage that makes the perfect home away from home for those looking for quality accommodation in Toowoomba.

Built in 1912, Natalie's Cottage is a three bedroom workers cottage that has been tastefully decorated throughout and has everything guests need for a comfortable and cosy stay in the garden city. Situated in a quite street in beautiful East Toowoomba, it is just a short drive to the city centre, parks, cafes and restaurants. The visitor information is very close by, making it easy for visitors to call in and plan a day of exploring and sightseeing.

The cottage is very special to owner, Kim Robinson and this is evident in the care that has been taken with its presentation. Natalie's Cottage oozes old world charm and has a lovely homely feel to it. The three bedrooms can accommodate up to five guests and two of these rooms open out onto the front verandah. Whether sipping on a cuppa or savouring a good drop, this is a lovely spot to relax and take in the view.

Nestled in a row of cute character cottages, Natalie's cottage has great street appeal with a pretty cottage garden setting off the front of the house. The yard is fully fenced, with the back garden opening onto neighbouring Ipswich Park, complete with playground equipment for the kids. A paved area oat the back of the cottage houses a hooded BBQ and an outdoor setting where the whole family can enjoy the outdoors.

In cooler weather a wood burning fireplace keeps the cottage cosy and warm whilst electric blankets keep everyone snug in bed. Reverse cycle air conditioning can also be used throughout the cottage. Kim provides warm hospitality and thoughtful little extras at Natalie's Cottage - there are even gloves to use when putting another log on the fire. Under the single bed is a box of Lego, thoughtfully placed to keep the littlies busy. Complimentary port is provided for the adults to enjoy an evening tipple, which seems very appropriate in this English country style cottage, which features beautiful roses, very healthy lavender bushes and a variety of herbs.

For those enjoying a longer stay, the laundry is well equipped with laundry powder, pegs and washing basket. Although there is no dishwasher here, the kitchen is well equipped with everything needed to prepare meals. A starter supply of wine and beer can found in the fridge, paid for via an honesty box.

Natalie's Cottage Toowoomba

This is a charming cottage, reminiscent of grandma's house and a great alternative to staying in a motel. Toowoomba has such a lot to offer visitors - book an escape at Natalie's Cottage and start exploring at the top of the range. Recommended, particularly for families is a visit to Queens Park and a real farmhouse experience at From Paddock to Potager.
