Mayfield Chocolates combines the best Australian ingredients with the best European chocolate-making techniques, winning many awards including a gold medal in the chocolate-making heart of the world, Belgium.

Drop into this shop on the Terrace where the owner, Peter, is not only the hands-on chocolate maker, but a fascinating host who is happy to discuss everything to do with chocolates and the chocolate making process, including his house secrets of using fresh cream and cocoa butter instead of vegetable fats.

Must-tries are the famous Florentines or pretty much anything from the unique range of Australian-flavoured chocolates like Coffee Queenslander (dark rum and coffee ganache in milk and dark chocolate), Kakadu (plum jelly in milk chocolate) and vegan Rosella Red Tart (rosella in dark chocolate).
