Say goodbye to 2022 in style at the Queensland Pops' legendary New Year's Eve Concert, which returns for the 38th year to Concert Hall, QPAC on December 31, 2022.

New Year's Eve Concert Qld Pops

Musical Director/Conductor Patrick Pickett CSM brings a host of fabulous artists to revel in what the Pops does best, for a night of great orchestral music, gorgeous arias and popular songs. And this year, a touch of the Best of British will also feature, in recognition of the passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth.

New Year's Eve Concert Qld Pops

The fabulous ballroom dancers Rhett and Emma Salmon will return, with Scottish and Irish dancers adding dazzle with all things Celtic, and no such concert could possibly do without a Scottish Piper to complete the mix.

To make this a truly memorable concert experience, the Pops will also pay loving tribute to the two Australian singing icons lost to us earlier this year: The Seekers’ lead singer, Judith Durham, and Olivia Newton-John. Many Australians hold a special place in their hearts for these two ‘First Ladies of Song’, and the special guest vocalists will do them proud.

Joining the Pops for NYE 2022 will be renowned pianist Simon Tedeschi and bass baritone Eddie Muliaumaseali'i to complete what promises to be a night full of passion, colour, remembrance and exuberance … or to put it another way, a fabulous way to see in 2023!

Need to know - There will be a Black Tie package with an after concert function with champagne and canapes but this year it will be in the main foyer (QPAC rooftop is still closed for repairs after this year's weather event). Patrons are welcome to go outside and watch the fireworks at 8:30pm and then come back inside to the function.
