Tour de Brisbane Big Family Ride

Ride your bike with family through Brisbane City on fully closed roads in the Tour de Brisbane sponsored by Transurban's FREE Big Family Ride on Sunday, April 14, 2024.

Take part in the Big Family Ride, designed to get you on the bike and enjoying our city with family and friends. Starting at the Brisbane Showgrounds, the 10km Big Family Ride crosses the iconic Story Bridge, travels by the heritage-listed Customs House, and explores the Northern Busways before returning to the Brisbane Showgrounds.

Based on fully closed roads, the Big Family Ride is perfect for adults new to cycling and young riders eager to get in on the action. It's a fantastic opportunity for families to bond, stay active, and create lasting memories together!

The ride supports The Common Good, an initiative of The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation. The aim is to raise 1,450 research hours, which equates to $70,000 for heart and lung transplant research.

The Tour de Brisbane sponsored by Transurban is the headline event of the Brisbane Cycling Festival, a celebration of all things cycling, with the Festival Village running from Friday, April 12 to Sunday, April 14 at the Brisbane Showgrounds. The Festival Village is free to attend and will include an Active Lifestyle Expo, Come and Try Cycling Sessions, Bike Obstacle Course and much more.

Minimum Age: 3 years

Note: Kids aged 8 and older can ride solo, and Kids 3-7 years must be accompanied by an adult.
