Defying Gravity is guaranteed to be a magical evening of song, performed by Caroline O’Connor, Amy Lehpamer and Naomi Price - at QPAC on Saturday, January 8, 2022. 

What better way to start off the new year than by spending an evening with these award-winning vocal powerhouses, who will join forces for the first time together on stage, working their way through a songbook of much-loved musical theatre songs. The talented trio will be joined on stage by special guest vocalist, Luke Kennedy, along with a 10-piece band.

Australian musical theatre legend and internationally acclaimed star of Broadway and London’s West End, Caroline O’Connor is no stranger to QPAC, having performed here in Chicago (1998/2008), Anything Goes (2015) and From Broadway with Love (2021) to name but a few.

Helpmann Award winner Amy Lehpamer is well known to QPAC audiences for her lead roles in hit musicals including School of RockBeautiful: The Carole King MusicalThe Sound of Music and more.

Brisbane's own leading lady of song, Naomi Price, has taken Australia’s musical theatre landscape by storm in recent years, creating and touring the hugely successful, original cabarets Rumour Has ItLady Beatle and Skyfall. An alumni of The Voice Australia, Price is also a theatre producer, and won a Green Room Award for her performance as Fay in Queensland Theatre/Melbourne Theatre Company smash hit Ladies in Black.
