About an hour and a quarter's drive south-west of Brisbane, the farm will be a hive of sunflower-themed activity for a whole weekend, as the eight-acre patch of more than one million sunflowers are in bloom.
A highlight is the one acre sunflower maze to get lost in and wander through, with plenty of Insta photo opportunities on the way. And this year for the first time, there will be a Dinosaur Land amongst the sunflowers!
Throughout the weekend you can browse the market stalls (where you'll find everything sunflower!) and enjoy live music and entertainment from local artists. For sustenance, there will be a range of food trucks onsite, while the Mater Devonshire Tea marquee will be serving fresh scones with jam and cream and fresh sandwiches.
Another highlight of the festival each year are the the legendary Long Lunches and Gala Dinner (Sunset in the Sunflowers) set amongst the fields, with each event raisling money for cancer care.*
There's plenty of fun for kids to be had at the Children's Hub, with activities such as face painting and sunflower tattoos, arts and craft activities and an Animal Petting Farm. There is also a sensory garden with interactive props and a special fairy garden to delight young and old.
Attendees can also Pick your Own Flowers for $2 a stem or you can purchase a pre-cut bunch as you leave the festival.
