Unbearable Bagels

Teneriffe

Updated: Apr 26, 2026

Unbearable Bagels serves scrumptious loaded bagels and specialty coffee from a corner shop on leafy Vernon Terrace in Teneriffe.

A sibling for funky bar eatery Zero Fox (located directly opposite in the historic London Woolstores), the bagel bar boasts a mouth-watering menu of sweet and savoury sandwiches made fresh with bagels by Brisbane's own Bagel Boys.

Loaded bagels include The Dealer (chorizo, scrambled egg, melted cheese, caramelised onions and house-made ketchup), The Realtor (smoked mushrooms, egg, provolone and ketchup), Peas Please (smashed peas, mint, garlic, vegan feta, vegan ricotta and sprouts), plus PB&B - peanut butter and banana with walnuts, honeycomb, and cinnamon sugar on a cinnamon and raisin bagel.

Otherwise, choose a bagel - plain, sunflower rye, garlic, blueberry, cinnamon and raison, or gluten-free - and schmear it with your choice of cream cheese, smoked salmon, confit garlic and herb, strawberry and pink peppercorn, blueberry mascarpone, or lemon curd.

Coffee on pour includes a range of rotating single origin batch and cold-drip brews by Single O and Almanac Coffee, served unashamedly black, without milk or sugar.

Opposed to single-use cups, Unbearable Bagels offers a reusable cup leasing program in partnership with Green Caffeen. Made in Brisbane from local, recycled materials, the cups can be used at 50+ venues. It's completely free, just swap and go or return your cup.

Unbearable Bagels is dog and family friendly with plenty of pooch and pram space in the open air courtyard, with some seating provided inside the bagel bar as well.
