Jesus Christ Superstar, the mega musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, has been resurrected for the Brisbane stage by producers Lynch & Paterson, playing at Twelfth Night Theatre, Bowen Hills from July 9, 2021.

Following the sold-out season of their new production of The Pirates of Penzance, the Brisbane producers are back with the cult classic, Jesus Christ Superstar, for a strictly limited season, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the original concept album.

This global blockbuster tells the story of the final weeks in the life of Jesus Christ, from the perspective of Judas Iscariot. As Christ’s followers grow more fervent, Judas must make his fateful choice between faith and betrayal.

This imagining of the biblical tale features a massive orchestra and band performing an exciting mix of musical styles that draw upon 1970s rock, gospel, folk and funk, including hits from the iconic musical such as Heaven On Their Minds, I Don’t Know How To Love Him, Everything's Alright and Superstar.

This stunning production is not to be missed.

Need to know - Jesus Christ Superstar is suitable for ages 15+.
