Updated: Jul 17, 2022

MOO MOO HAS TEMPORARILY CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

Moo Moo The Bar is a stunning spot, located upstairs at the old colonial Port Office is one of Brisbane’s secret treasures, attached as it is to classy carnivore heaven Moo Moo Grill.

The gorgeous Raffles style building it inhabits was designed by renowned 19th century architect FDG Stanley and is listed with the National Trust, while the interior fit-out is a brilliant fusion of modern and days of the Raj.

Entry is via a grand foyer with sweeping cedar staircase and at the top a left turn at the glass encased meat cuts leads to the restaurant and a right turn to what is arguably Brisbane’s finest bar.

The black themed main lounge is replete with lowset leather couches and black bird cage chairs facing a glass window backed bar and is surrounded by colonial style lace iron verandahs complete with wicker furniture and ceiling fans.

The drinks menu is a class act, from the cocktails to the impressive wine list incorporating up to 750 wines hailing from France, USA, Lebanon, Chile, South Africa, Germany, Spain, Canada, alongside top shelf Australian and New Zealand varieties, and a more succinct beer list that is also internationally well-represented.
