Big Buns in Browns Plains is a game-changing burger joint slinging gourmet burgers and finger-lickin' ribs.

A collaboration between four mates, the  American-style eatery was conceived in the midst of COVID-19. With a wealth of hospitality experience between them (including a bakery, three kebab shops and sibling restaurant Mi Casa), plus a healthy dose of optimism, Big Buns was born.

The modern industrial decor features generous-sized booths as well as banquette seating, with concrete flooring, high ceilings and an Instagram wall that is certain to be popping up on Instagram feeds all over town, with a neon sign that references Sir Mix-a-Lots hit hip-hop song.  

The mouthwatering menu has something for everyone, boasting 7 beef burgers, 5 chicken burgers, 5 plant-based burgers and 1 fish burger. Beefy burgers range from a classic Cheeseburger with Angus beef and Beef Rib burger with meaty ribs, to Pulled Beef Brisket burger and You Got Beef? - a juicy beef patty topped with pulled beef, deep-fried mozzarella, lettuce, pickled onion and tomato relish. 

If a chicken burger is more to your liking, there's Pulled Chicken, Southern Fried Chicken, Grilled Chicken, Lemon and Garlic Chicken, and Death Eater Chilli - a spicy chilli-marinated chicken burger with jalapenos, hot chilli sauce, sriracha mayo, pickled cabbage and Provolone cheese.  

Whether you're vegan or vegetarian, Big Buns has you covered with 5 burgers to choose from: Mushroom, Southern Fried Beetroot, Chickpea & Quinoa, Deep-Fried Mozzarella, and Taco Burger. 

Besides burgers, there are chicken wings, grilled chicken breast, slow-cooked beef brisket, and Texas-style, smoked, pepper rubbed, melt-in-your-mouth beef short ribs. 

Additionally, there's loaded fries ranging from Entry Level (topped with cheese and spring onion with a side of gravy) to Beef Nacho Fries topped with pulled pork, tortilla chips, cheese, sour cream and salsa (pico de gallo), and even Vego Fries loaded with roasted mushrooms, pickled onion, cheese, shallots and red pepper pesto. 

Health-conscious folks can build their own bowl of quinoa and brown rice with their choice of salmon, chicken breast or pulled beef plus salad such as slaw, apple celery or pico de gallo.

You can wash down your burgers and ribs with a decadent, loaded shake in drool-worthy flavours like Nutella, choc peanut butter, cookies 'n' cream, or Bischoff.
