The Sound of Music

A much-loved classic, The Sound of Music, is coming to the Yatala Drive-In this weekend.

Screening on both Saturday and Sunday nights - August 8 and 9 - fans of the film can watch one of the most popular movie musicals of all time on the big screen from the comfort of their cars.

The Academy award-winning 1965 musical movie, starring Julie Andrews as Maria, is based on the real life story of the Von Trapp Family singers in the era immediately preceding World War II. 

A family-favourite, this inspiring story of an Austrian nun who became a governess in the home of a widowed naval captain with seven children, will warm your heart on a cold winter night. 

So pack up the car with family and friends and park yourselves under the stars at the retro drive-in theatre, and sing along to the Sound of Music. 

Need to know - In order to have a contactless entrance procedure, all guests are required to pre-purchase tickets online, with advance internet ticketing with barcode scanner verification at the ticket office. Hand sanitiser stations are available at each entrance area inside the building, and movie-goers should remain in their vehicles to the extent possible.
