Swanbank Collier Train Ride

All aboard the vintage diesel train of the Swanbank Collier Train Ride for a nostalgic return train ride departing from historic Swanbank's charming refurbished station on Sunday. September 13.

Passengers will travel in heritage timber carriages dating back to the early 1900s hauled by a diesel locomotive for the historic journey, which passes through bushland and relics of mining scenery, including the Box Flat mining disaster site.

On arrival at Racecourse, there's a quick turnaround before trundling back to Swanbank past paddocks of horses and quaint miners cottages at the base of Castle Hill. 

Back at Swanbank Station, you can take time to browse the souvenir gift shop and explore the historic station.

Need to know - The journey takes 75 mins return. Concession holders must bring valid concession card. Infants aged 2 and under travel for free,
