SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast

SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast unveils some super-cute new residents at the Little Blue Penguins exhibit from December 13 onwards.

Arriving just in time for the summer school holidays, the new zone will immerse guests in the wonderful world of the smallest penguin species.

Catch your first glimpse of these cute, little creatures from the above-ground observation deck, then continue down to an underwater vantage point for a close-up look at exactly what goes on below the surface. While here, learn about the lifecycle of a little penguin, plus what they eat, and how you can do your bit to help protect this precious species in the wild.

Twelve little penguins have already settled into their new home, which has been carefully designed to resemble their natural habitat.

SEA LIFE also has heaps of other cool activities to keep families entertained these summer holidays, including a Behind the Scenes Tour, Seal Encounter, and Seal Swim Experience. There’s also the chance to be a Marine Biologist for the Day, or even bunk down with some giants of the sea in the Sleep under the Sharks experience. For full details and pricing, check the SEA LIFE website.

Need to know – SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast is open daily* for the extended school holiday hours of 9am-5pm (last entry at 4pm) during QLD school holidays. Entry to the Little Blue Penguins exhibit is included in all general admission tickets. Book online to save up to 20%.

Nice to know – Off-street car parking is available, plus an on-site café for your refreshment needs.

*SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast is closed on Christmas Day.
