Kerrie Hess Exhibition

Redsea Gallery

Renowned Brisbane-based, world-famous fashion illustrator, Kerrie Hess, is having her second solo exhibition at the REDSEA Gallery in James Street, Fortitude Valley, from 18 March – 5 April. The first one sold out in 2013 so it would be wise to make sure you don’t miss out on seeing her exquisite work by booking early.

Hess has lived in Paris, London, Hong Kong and Melbourne, but has returned to her hometown of Brisbane to live. Illustrator for the likes of top fashion houses such as Chanel, Christian Louboutin and Alexander McQueen among many other notables, Hess’s sophisticated fashion illustrations often evoke the elegance of an earlier era and have graced billboards and magazine covers such as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar.

Lee Steer, Managing Director of REDSEA Gallery, says, “Kerrie’s artwork exemplifies her personality; her brushstrokes are determined and precise, yet like her, they are also soft and graceful, and her subject matter exudes the same class that Kerrie embodies every day.”

As well as her last sell-out show at REDSEA, Hess had the honour of having her first international exhibition at the famed Le Maurice Hotel in Paris last year – quite an achievement seeing as previous artists to show there include Picasso and Dali. This latest exhibition sees her focusing on her distinctive flowing brushstrokes, feminine colours and her illuminating chic French style.

If you’d like to be on the guest list for the Opening Reception on Saturday, 21 March at 2-4pm, please RSVP to [email protected]
