Love+ is a one-woman, two-hander about the inevitability of human/robot relationships from the award-winning MALAPROP Theatre Company, playing at The Block from September 10 to 14. It’s not about whether we can love machines, because we  already do. It’s about what it would be like if they loved us back.

Absurdist lip-synch meets high-camp performance art in Bitch on Heat at The Loft from September 17 to 21. Nothing is sacred in this pop-fuelled critique of sexual politics in the age of implied consent, as psycho-siren Leah Shelton (Terror Australis, La Clique) trawls through a Pandora’s box of ancient myths, porn, pop-culture, and revenge movie heroines.

Orpheus is a must-see modern retelling of an ancient myth, playing at La Boite Studio from September 17 to 21. It's a tale of impossible, death-defying love in a world of dive bars, side streets and ancient gods, told through hair-raising spoken word and soaring soul music.

The Bluebird Mechanicals is a visionary new work about Chekhov, climate change, and the end of the world. Blurring the line between the real and the imagined, the animate and the intimate, this spellbinding performance combines puppetry, projection and beautiful prose, playing at The Block from September 17 to 21.

Brisbane’s award-winning Casus Circus are back with their most daring and intimate work yet You & I. Performed by real-life couple, Jesse Scott and Lachlan McAulay, this empowering explosion of skill and identity uses high-level acrobatics, trapeze, magic and dance to shine a light on how two men in love can relate without preconceived ideas of what they should be. You can catch You & I at The Block from September 24 to 28.
