Spring Hill

Updated: Apr 08, 2026

The Inchcolm Hotel, Brisbane's first boutique hotel,  is a unique, upmarket accommodation experience on the edge of the CBD in Spring Hill.

Entrance to the The New Inchcolm Hotel and Suites in Spring Hill

Built during the 1920's as medical suites on the same site as Dr John Thomson's former residence 'The Inchcolm' (named after Inchcolm Island in the Scottish doctor's homeland), the original hotel opened in 1997. Fast forward seventeen years, the heritage-listed building has retained its charm and character with neo-Georgian facade, art deco entrance, silky oak wall panelling, French oak parquetry flooring and original 1928 Otis lift; while luxe fabrics, bespoke carpets and one-off furniture pieces custom designed for the Inchcolm add modern elegance.

Lounge room inside The New Inchcolm Hotel

Luxurious accommodation includes one-bedroom suites, two-bedroom suites, split-level loft suites with floor to ceiling city views and the one-of-a-kind Thomson Suite. Providing a relaxing respite whether staying overnight or longer, guests are greeted by maxibar with Nespresso coffee machine, deluxe workstation, flat-screen LED television and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Bed and lounge inside the honeymoon suite

For the ultimate indulgence or special occasion, stay in The Thomson featuring a four-poster king size bed, free-standing bath and turndown service.

Freestanding bath tub inside the honeymoon suite

Good to know - Pooches who stay at The Inchcolm with their owners enjoy a doggy bed, feeding mat, food bowls, and a personalised doggy bag filled with toys and treats
