2002 Cyber City

Fortitude Valley

2002 CYBER CITY HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

Hidden at the end of a grungy half-deserted arcade is this secret mini Chinatown - an enormous cavernous hall packed with Asian diners, a beer bar, pool tables, all day karaoke, Asian video clips, arcade games and kitschy orange and green furniture.

The drawcard, beyond the community meeting point for all generations and the kiddult fun, is the 255+ item menu of Chinese regional dishes of generous size, available until the wee hours of the morning.

For an utterly authentic Asian food hall experience grab a Tsing Tao beer and feast upon Szechuan beef, salt & pepper squid, Hainan chicken or one of the copious claypot dishes such as eggplant with spicy pork mince or pork belly with preserved veges. Then make a day or night of it with some karaoke-in-a-booth (starts at 12.30pm sharp daily), a game of pool and fishing for a fluffy toy.

Great for (adventurous) families, clubbers, gangs of friends or singleton diners.
