NOTA Restaurant & Wine Bar

Paddington

Updated: Aug 09, 2024

NOTA closed permanently in August 2024.

A chic Euro-style wine bar and restaurant occupying two historic shops in a landmark heritage Paddington building.

Originally a cosy little character-filled bistro, Nota has opened up and taken up residency in the shop next door to create one of Paddington's most ambient dining and drinking spaces.

Nota Restaurant Wine Bar

With seating on the covered street terrace out front or inside the charming old world space with its exposed handmade brick walls  high ceilings and wooden floors, Nota is the perfect spot for a casual drink or a delectable dinner.

Along one side is a 5m wine wall, housing a carefully curated selection of some 90 wines from Australia and Europe, ranging up to premium drops like a glass by Coravin for $45.

On the revamped and expanded menu you'll find the likes of old favourites such as tempura fish sandwich and savoury churros as well as scallops with garlic & herb butter and beef carpaccio with tuna mayo, crispy capers and fried shallots.

Larger dishes include Fraser Isle spanner crab pasta with chilli and garlic, Brisbane Valley quail with sweet corn polenta, mushroom risotto or 200g Black Onyx eye fillet and frites with choice of sauce, followed by sweets such as toasted house marshmallows aith house sorbet.

Can't decide? Then the Chef's Feast at $95pp is available for tales to share with a selection of 6 dishes, with the option of matching wines for an additional $85pp.
