Camerata - Viva Vivaldi
Concert Hall Qpac
Camerata, Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra, will take to the stage for their final triumphant main stage performance of 2018 - Viva Vivaldi, on Friday, November 9 at QPAC.
Revel in the passion and vitality of Vivaldi’s complete set of instrumental concertos, L’Estro Armonico, rarely heard in its complete entirety in one concert program.
Translated as The Harmonic Fancy, L’Estro Armonico is one of the most innovative and influential musical pieces of its time.
Performing without a conductor, Camerata are renowned for their exciting and passionate performances which engage audiences of all ages. Viva Vivaldi, their final performance of the year, promises to entertain.
This exciting concert will feature Baroque violin virtuoso, Davide Monti, direct from Italy as soloist and director. Davide’s own journey reflects a lifetime of making music in diverse settings, from performing folk music around campfires as a young boy with his father, to leading orchestras throughout the world including The European Baroque Orchestra and Il Tempio Armonico.
Nice to know - The concert will also be performed in Toowoomba on November 7 at the Empire Theatre.
