Butter Cream

Located in a Carina shopping centre, alongside doctors, dentists, butchers and bakers, Butter Cream cafe is a stand-out. 

Paying homage to the fifties, with retro signage, vintage magazines and vinyl lounges, Butter Cream is where locals come to satisfy their sweet tooth.  

Each morning the display case is filled with freshly baked cupcakes - strawberry and cream, coconut and lime, lemon and poppy seed, pistachio and rose - to name a few of the fabulous flavours.  Allie, the cafe's cupcake creator, also welcomes customer suggestions. 

Merlo coffee is served to complement your cupcake which is served with fresh cream on the side; as well as tea, milkshakes and an assortment of cold drinks.  

If you're after something more substantial, Butter Cream provides breakfast – like avocado and feta bagels, bacon and egg rolls and savoury mince on Turkish toast topped with a poached egg – and lunchtime fare from pulled pork sliders and spinach and cheese pie to sandwiches, baguettes and a selection of salads such as Greek, Vietnamese noodle and pasta.
