Mount Glorious Cafe

A favourite refuelling stop for bikers, this quaint roadhouse has been a stalwart of the Mt Glorious cafe scene for donkey's years and for good reason.

Offering a simple succinct menu, everything is freshly prepared and of a standard that is worth pulling over for. Steak sandwiches and gourmet burgers win the lunch popularity stakes while for breakfast there's the usual cooked suspects involving bacon and eggs that somehow taste better up here with a side of mountain air.

As well as the summer house style dining room there's a side deck presided over by a pair of resident kookaburras who've perfected the art of the surprise swoop and been known to snatch food right out of unsuspecting diner's hands.

And below is a paved courtyard for spill over at busy times and otherwise gives the young and the restless a bit of space to stretch their short legs and marvel at the Mad Hatter sculpture.
