Emerge Live
Qld Multicultural Centre
Get swept up in an evening of Spanish song and dance when BEMAC presents EMERGE LIVE at the Queensland Multicultural Centre on Friday, November 17.
The performance will be the climax of a two-day vocal and performance workshop facilitated by internationally established Spanish singer-songwriter Clara Domingo of Culture Train 2017 fame.
Born in Barcelona, to a family deeply entrenched in Catalonian cultural heritage, Clara started her formal music studies at the age of five. Growing up in the south of Spain, Clara’s musical passion burgeoned into an exploration of traditional Spanish music and Flamenco. Clara is renowned for her unique and mesmerizing vocal style, which explores traditional Flamenco and popular Spanish music, interwoven with international influences.
Opening for Clara's band Alma Salero will be the participants of the EMERGE Vocal Workshop, emerging female vocalists whose talent Clara has nurtured and unlocked over two dedicated workshops.
Renowned Flamenco dancer Simone Pope, who is considered among the best in Australia, will also be performing as part of EMERGE LIVE.
So come enjoy an evening of performances by two of Queensland’s most exceptional artists dedicated to Spanish musical traditions, and be among the first to see some of Brisbane’s emerging female vocalists perform live.
