The Gig Cocktail Bar is shaking and stirring delicious cocktails, alongside live Jazz music and DJ beats in Fortitude Valley’s central entertainment precinct.
The hip bar features cocktail seating at the front of the venue, leather couches for lounge seating and plenty of room to groove the night away at the back of the bar – naturally, under the large disco ball. Although, the bar is where the party starts, with a wall laden with every spirit you could ever imagine.
If you name a cocktail The Gig will make it, but they do have a few of their specialties on a small menu, including an Espresso Martini, the Purple People Eater, Brandy Alexander, Long Island Iced Tea and a Grasshopper. The Grasshopper is a popular cocktail inspired by the 70s era, the beverage is shaken with Crème de Cacao, Crème de Menthe and cream. It’s served with a dusting of cinnamon and topped with a couple of glace cherries and a slice of orange.
The bar hosts a live Jazz band on Sunday evenings, ideal for a chilled Sunday sesh with a cocktail in hand. The party happens on Friday and Saturday evenings, when a DJ livens up the dancefloor.
