Gelato Messina

South Brisbane

Updated: Jun 07, 2026

Gelato Messina in South Brisbane is a sibling of the famous Sydney outfit and a go-to for some of Australia's best gelato.

Located in the base of trendy The Melbourne Residences, access to Gelato Messina is via its Melbourne St main entry and back door in Fish Lane.

At this gelateria, everything that goes into the gelati is made inhouse from scratch, from the baking of apples pies to the grinding of pistachios and the stewing of fresh fruit.

When choosing more than one flavour, Gelato Messina has advice on the best pairings - think Pear & Rhubarb + Chocolate Fondant or Dulce de Leche + Apple Pie.
