Radiohead for Solo Piano II

Master of improvisation, Berlin-based Australian pianist Josh Cohen takes on legendary rock band Radiohead with his show Radiohead for Solo Piano II at Concert Hall, QPAC on May 14.

With interpretations that have gone viral on YouTube with more than 20 million views and granted Radiohead’s approval for two songbooks featuring Josh’s idiosyncratic arrangements to be released by their publisher Faber Music.

These songbooks contain a band-approved selection of improvised and innovatively arranged Radiohead tracks and feature artwork by Radiohead artist, Stanley Donwood. Although fiercely protective of their reputation, it’s not surprising that the band gave Cohen the green light to perform their songs around the world. 

Cohen’s unique and improvisational style shines in spirited live performances, a defining part of his artistry. Combining the dynamism of electronic music sets and rich atmospheres of Impressionist pianists, this unique synthesis of classical and jazz, sense of space and intensity of emotion is a truly special way to experience Radiohead’s music, reimagined.
