Waho Cafe is a charming Auchenflower cafe that is home to some of Brisbane’s best sweet and savoury waffles.
This cute little nook is perfect for grabbing a coffee on the go or settling in for a leisurely brunch with friends.
In the mornings, the cafe fills with locals grabbing one of Brisbane’s finest coffees on their way to work. The open, light-filled space makes it an ideal spot to bring a book and enjoy a moment to yourself.
Waho opens early and dishes up some seriously good breakfast options, and they’re especially known for their range of gluten-free waffles in both sweet and savoury styles. A must-try is the Korean chicken sandwich waffle, loaded with crispy chicken, house-made chilli capsicum jam, Korean sticky sauce, aioli, mixed lettuce, red onion and sesame.
Their most popular dish is the creme brulee waffle, and it’s just as good as it sounds. This creme anglaise waffle is topped with maple syrup, caramel cashews, vanilla bean ice cream, lemon curd and finished with seasonal fruit.
Got a sweet tooth? Be sure to try the salted caramel banana waffle, featuring house-made banana custard, caramelised brulee banana, candied walnuts, ice cream and a drizzle of salted caramel sauce. They also offer a tempting selection of smaller pastries, including lemon loafs, almond croissants and, of course, classic bacon and egg rolls.
Their drinks list is a match for the food, with a standout focus on matcha. They’ve nailed the classics while also getting creative with iced strawberry and mango matchas, alongside a delicious range of refreshing smoothies and juices.
Waho Cafe regularly updates its menu to feature local Queensland fruits and seasonal ingredients, ensuring every dish is fresh and bursting with flavour.
