Get ready for some cool and very suave swinging fun, with Rob Mills, Ben Mingay, Luke Kennedy and Michael Falzon in Swing on This at the Concert Hall, QPAC, Saturday, 7 January.

The four guys are known individually for their musical talents and when they get together accompanied by the 18-piece Swing on This Big Band, they deliver a crowd-pleasing smorgasbord of swing classics worthy of the original Rat Pack themselves.

There’ll be everything from Ol’ Blue Eyes, Frank Sinatra, right up to the contemporary king of swing, Michael Bublé. Musical Direction is by Craig Schneider, and there’ll also be some other special guests on hand as the four charismatic crooners recapture a bygone era with charm and more than a little irreverence.

Rob Mills needs no introduction – from being in the top 10 on Australian Idol, he’s proven himself a true entertainer with roles in Wicked and Grease. Brisbane’s own Luke Kennedy was runner-up on The Voice and is also a regular with The Ten Tenors, while Michael Falzon has rocked audiences with performances in We Will Rock You and Rock of Ages. You might recognise Ben Mingay from TV shows Wonderland and House of Bond, but he’s also shown his vocal chops in stage shows like Dirty Dancing and Jersey Boys.

There’s sure to be a whole lot of fun when Swing on This hits the Concert Hall stage, with the Adelaide Advertiser critic saying of the show, “They brought the house down!”
