Que Huong Vietnamese Restaurant
Que Huong occupies a huge cavernous space festooned with tinsel, coloured lights, fake flowers and the odd mirror ball is somewhat of a contrast to the shabby roller-doored shopping strip it inhabits.
Still like moths to a flame, on weekends extended Vietnamese families and merry Anglos descend to partake in the offerings – mountainous portions of homey Vietnamese and Chinese food at rock bottom prices. Here $20 per head will not only render you fit to burst on rice paper rolls, crispy skin chicken, salt and pepper tofu, jelly fish salad, sweet and sour prawn soup and fried noodles but may have you asking for a doggy bag.
A word of warning - the menu extends to 100 + items, many of which the wait staff seem to have little clue about (tea, for instance) so for those needing direction there are banquets (albeit not very adventurous ones) available, starting at $22 per person.
