King Crab Co

Bulimba

King Crab Co in Bulimba is a casual American style crab house and bar that is one of Oxford Street’s dining hotspots, perfect for couples, groups and families.

The fourth crab house to open in Brisbane, King Crab Co is the place to get messy with bibs and gloves while tucking into succulent crustaceans as well as other traditional seafood dishes.

Diners can sit outside at footpath booths or inside with a choice of booth or table, with plenty of space for groups.

Star of the show at King Crab Co are the crab dishes, with a choice of Alaskan King Crab claws, Alaskan snow crab, Jonah Crab claws and Australian blue swimmer crab, with the addition of Cloudy Bay diamond still clams. All come with choices of 4 accompanying sauces that you’ll be mopping up with the accompanying baguette to the last drop: Old Bay butter, Singapore chili, Zatarain’s Cajun or Miso butter and lime.

Drinks-wise King Crab Co serves a range of cocktails including Espresso Martini, Lychee and Vanilla Daiquiri or Spiced Pineapple Gimlet, refreshing Spritz cocktails (available single or pitcher) such as white peach and ginger.

Beer on tap includes Kirin Magumi and Little Creatures pale Ale whilst bottled beers include international faves like Heineken, Asahi and Corona along with Australian craft beers by Stone and Wood and Young Henrys, while wine ranges up to bottles of Veuve Clicquot.

Nice to know – King Crab Co is child friendly, with brown paper table covers designed to get messy, high chairs and a kids menu of fish fillets or chicken tenderloin. Children will also love watching the white ‘tablets’ provided magically dissolve and expand in the water bowls to refresher towels.

Need to know - Not to worry if you haven't experienced crab house dining before - the staff will help you get bibbed and gloved up and instruct on using the utensils.

The menu may have changed since our visit.
