Archerfield Wetlands District Parkland is a picturesque nature-based community park that has seen the site of a former wastewater treatment plant transformed into a recreation destination by Brisbane City Council.

The beautiful 4 ha of nature-based parkland features a large adventure playground with water play area, a youth hub with full-sized basketball court, a bush food garden trail and a community lawn for publc events.

There is also a bookable meeting room and a catchment centre, Oxley Creek Catchment Association headquarters with public nursery, to support the environmental rehabilitation of the Oxley Creek catchment.

The park has a direct connection to the Archerfield Wetlands Discovery Trail, a 2.9 kilometre walking and cycling trail that meanders through the site and features eucalypt forests, open grassland, freshwater wetlands, and over 150 different bird species.

Good to know - Around 67,000 new native trees and plants have been planted across the parkland to provide more shade, cool the area and create new habitat for local wildlife.
